Victory
Here's another response to the Narnia series. Stylistically, it is similar to Renaissance Christian art, but thematically it is very different. The moribund lion represents ignorance and superstition while the warrior woman personifies freedom and enlightenment. In the books by C.S. Lewis, she has a parallel in Susan - the character who abandoned Narnia for adulthood. If humanity could outgrow religion, this world would be a safer place.
