Don’t worry - I’m not apologising for offensive imagery. It’s just assumed a different form. Regular viewers are probably wondering why I haven’t added much lately. It’s got nothing to do with holidays, girlfriends, personal problems, etc. None of these should limit our work - if anything they should inspire it!

I recently gave my flatmate some writing I’d done nearly ten years ago. Stylistically, it’s terrible - I’d been reading too much nineteenth-century literature. (I’ll still pick Edgar Allan Poe over Hello Kitty any day). My flatmate liked my stories, though, and after reading some again I actually agreed with him. I’m currently rewriting my favourites in a more accessible form. I’ve also started a few more. Good and bad experiences make the process easier - a lot can happen in ten years.

What are they about, you ask? They’re a very diverse lot, but most of them revolve around people on society’s fringes. Most are trapped in dull routines - until the unexpected strikes. Sinister events take place, disrupting and sometimes completely destroying their formerly uneventful lives. I’ve also written a parody of the post-apocalyptic genre. Food and fuel are running out, and the human population has shrunk, yet many people treasure relics from the world that disappeared. Examples of mass-produced kitsch still exist, and icons such as garden gnomes have gained a special resonance.

So once again, I’m sorry for not having posted for a while, but life hasn’t been in vain. I’ve been as productive as ever, even if the medium’s changed. If you’re still awake, thanks for your time; and if you’re intrigued, watch this space.
